Rehabilitation

Hand therapy and rehabilitation

Rehabilitation is part of the surgery at Paanik Hand & Research Center, not something arranged afterwards. The centre’s hand therapists work with the surgeons and plan rehabilitation for each patient through recovery.

  1. 01

    Evaluation

A detailed assessment of movement, strength, sensation, function and the specific things you cannot do.

  2. 02

    Communication with the surgeon

Therapist and surgeon coordinate so rehabilitation progresses safely for the procedure performed and the stage of tissue healing.

  3. 03

    Specialized hand therapy

Therapy designed for the hand and upper limb, with planned exercises to restore mobility, strength, coordination and function.

  4. 04

    Custom splint fabrication

Splints designed and made for your injury, your operation and your rehabilitation needs.

The goal at the end of the path: a return to work, independence and everyday activities.

What specialist care means here

Sub-millimetre precision

Operating at this scale gives the best chance of functional recovery.

Surgeon and therapist together

Your hand therapist knows what was done in theatre and plans rehabilitation around it.

Recovery planned around your work

Plans are tailored to your lifestyle, occupation and goals.
